MOROCCAN HIGH-SPEED TRAIN
What is a High Speed Train ?

The Moroccan High Speed Train corresponds to a variation of the 3rd generation TGV Duplex, [Euroduplex], dual-current (25 kV and 3 kV), with European Train Control System Level 1 and Level 2, able of running on conventional lines, high-speed lines and adapted to Moroccan climatic conditions. It is an undeformable articulated train with a length of approximately 200m and a mass under normal load of approximately 450 tonnes.
With a capacity of 533 passengers, each train has 8 cars, including two first class cars, a cafeteria car and five second class cars. The trains are equipped with the latest innovations in terms of comfort and accessibility for passenger with reduced mobility. The trains are also equipped with digital passenger information systems, available in Arabic and French.
The composition of a train:
- Two motor cars with asynchronous motorization
- 8 cars with 2 levels offering a capacity of 533 seats, including 2 1st class cars, 5 2nd class cars and a Cafeteria car
The maximum speed of circulation:
- 320km/h on High Speed Line (electrified in 25000 alternating Voltage 50 HZ)
- 160Km/h on classic lines (electrified at 3000 DC Voltage)
